Look, I’m all for technology and all the latest “bells & whistles,” the many advancements we’ve seen like the World Wide Web, Facebook and google to name a few . So many apps for our everyday enjoyment…. but looking back to ‘gentler, simpler times,’ when we read the printed page; or get our phone messages at home via answering machine; or we’d look up something on world book encyclopedia or phone book; or Thomas guide; or actually have face to face conversations at the family dinner table rather than screen time texting. What a concept! Maybe online speed dating is more efficient but a face to face coffee date is so much more real and a whole lot more personal. With all this new technology, we may eventually lose the basics like interpersonal nuances and social skills of yesteryear. Thoughts???
